These sweeties are all being
fostered in the Rochester area.
If you're interested, I can pass your inquiry to the fostering
families and they will give you the details. These dogs are
NOT "Free to a good home." If you can't pay their adoption
fees, how could you afford to keep them?
And, they need
their very own Forever families to love.

Personal Disclaimer:
These are not, nor have they ever been, my dogs. They do not now, nor have they
ever been, at my home, so don't come looking for them. They are not for sale!
They are available to approved homes in the Upstate NY area, but, for the most
part, they have incurred costs to the rescuers for veterinary bills, neutering,
training, etc. Most of them are not from local shelters. Lollypop Farm, in
particular, does not feel their animals need to be rescued, as they feel
confident that they can find good homes for adoptable animals. Most of these
dogs were in "Kill" shelters and were down to their last day, or in some cases,
hour before being put to death in some very inhumane ways.
I do not breed dogs, never have and have no intention of starting now. There are
already too many perfectly good dogs looking for homes for me to add to the
problem. These dogs have no papers, they are neutered and therefore cannot be
bred, so don't ask me about stud fees.
Dogs are a lifetime (of the dog) commitment. If you have a dog you are trying to
get rid of, and you contact me, I will do my best to persuade you to keep your
dog. There are extenuating circumstances that sometimes make it impossible to
keep a dog; death of the owner is one of the only legitimate reasons in my book,
and I'm not trying to be funny.
There are many resourceful people in the Seneca Siberian
Husky Club and they probably don't want your dog either. Nothing against your
dog, but we all have full plates, so to speak, with our own dogs. I will be
happy to refer you to one of the trainers, behavior consultants or experienced
breeders in the club if you have questions. They, in turn, know other trainers
and reference people to help you with your questions, especially if they pertain
to the Siberian Husky.
If you're unfamiliar with the Siberian Husky and want more
information, we'd love for you to attend a meeting even
before you look for a dog. Guests are always welcome. You can meet the dogs and
their owners each month and there's nothing we love to talk about more than our
dogs. Or, visit the Siberian Husky Club of America
website and learn more about the breed. There you will find links to
breeders, national rescue groups and other Siberian activities. Be sure to read
the page So,,,,You Want a Siberian
Husky?.
If you're still reading this, I don't mean to discourage
legitimate inquiries about the rescue dogs or Siberian Huskies in general. I
love to talk about my dogs and will gladly answer questions by e-mail. Please drop me a note.
Sincerely,
Pat
